When you book as a piercing model, you are agreeing to be pierced by an inexperienced piercing student. The student is continuously observed on a one to one throughout their training and shown how to do each piercing prior to doing it.
You must be no younger than 16 to be a piercing model and be able to provide government issued photo ID on the day (Pictures are not acceptable).
If in doubt, bring photo ID to your appointment no matter what you're booked in for. If we feel you look younger than the legal requirement for your piercing and can't provide photo ID, your appointment will not go ahead.
We ask that all models attend their appointment alone. However, if you have booked on the same appointment as your friend, then you would be allowed to arrive together.
When you book as a model, you are allocated a set time. However, this can go over depending on the piercing / piercings you're booked in for and how quickly the student does them. We aim to work within the time allocated, but we will never rush or put pressure on a student to move quicker than they can comfortably go. If time is of the essence, booking as a model may not be for you.
Students can feel nervous when doing a piercing for the first time. Under these circumstances it is advisable to book in with Gemma for your piercing until you feel more comfortable.
No. Due to the amount of planning that goes into the course, we must ensure all models are fully committed to their booking time, therefore all bookings must be paid for in advance.
Yes. In order to secure your model place, all piercings must be paid for in full.
All model bookings require a non refundable £10 deposit which is included in your model fee. If you cancel last minute or do not show to your booking, your remaining balance, minus your £10 deposit will be transferred to another booking with Gemma.
Yes. If we have another booking available that you can take, and you have contacted us 72 hours prior to the date you have chosen, you can change it. However, if you're unable to take what is available and you're unable to keep your original booking, it will be classed as a cancellation and the cancellation policy will apply.
If you are late to your appointment, we will do our best to fit you in. However, if we can not fit you in due to the structure of the course it will be classed as a no show and the cancellation policy will apply.
Yes. All body piercings are available for models to book. However, for us to be able to offer our students a wide range of experience, we only allow a set amount for each piercing. If you want to guarantee you get the piercing / piercings you want, we advise that you book early to avoid disappointment as places fill up fast.
For all piercings we use plain 316L surgical steal jewellery. If you would like something from our displays, you can order it via our online shop prior to your booking which will then be sterilised and ready for you on the day.
(All jewellery must be paid for when booking your model appointment).
No. All jewellery is put through an autoclave prior to the course to ensure everything is ready for the training days. Due to the time each model is booked in for, it is not possible to make any changes or autoclave different jewellery. If you wish to make changes, please let us know no later than 72 hours prior to your appointment.
It is your responsibility to pay your own deposit.
We cannot accept bookings made on behalf of someone else and cannot transfer your booking fee to another individual. You must bring your government issued photo ID if there's a chance you might be asked for it. Failure to have it, will result in your appointment being cancelled.
